Standard 20x2 Character LCD – Dark On Light Gray
Do you need an LCD display module with characters large enough to read from a distance in a bright location? Using a 5 x 8 character matrix, this 20 x 2 transflective LCD screen is sunlight readable and is also easy to read in low light. This FSTN display with a white LED backlight has better contrast than an STN display, making the 6.0 mm (W) x 9.66 mm (H) characters on a light gray background look darker. The built-in character set supports English/European text (see page 11 of the CFAH2002L_Series_Datasheet).

As with most character displays, this one communicates with parallel interface (your choice of 8-bit or 4-bit).
If you have system software written for the common Hitachi HD44780 controller, the integrated Sitronix ST7066U controller is compatible and should work without modification. For command details, see the Sitronix ST7066U datasheet on our website. .
