320x240 3.5" Touch Screen Color TFTPart Number: CFAF320240F-035T-TSTo improve user experience, this sharp looking 3.5-inch diagonal full-color QVGA 320x240 TFT has a 4-wire resistive touchscreen. The 50-pin Flat Flexible Cable (FFC) mates with standard 0.5 mm ZIF sockets.
For quick prototype development, this display is available in a kit with a Crystalfontz breakout/carrier board.(See Under ADDITIONAL OPTIONS below.)
For this same TFT without a touch screen, see the CFAF320240F-035T display module. 
HighlightsActive Area is 3.5" diagonal, 70.08 (W) x 52.56 (H) mm (2.76" (W) x 2.07" (H)). 
Choose from several interface modes to host:
     8-bit, 9-bit, 16-bit, and 18-bit parallel (8080 or 6800).
16-bit or 18-bit "DOTCLK" RGB.
3- or 4-wire SPI.

6:00 o'clock viewing direction (polarizer viewing direction) can be used in portrait or landscape orientation.
Temperature operation is from -20°C to +70°C.

Summary:	BOM change for LED backlight effective 2012/05/29
Description:	The LEDs used in the backlight for the CFAF320240F-035 family of TFT LCD modules and any assemblies using the CFAF320240F-035 family of TFT LCD modules produced from 2011-03 to 2011-11 is no longer available. To avoid any interruption in supply for our customers, we have gone back to using the LEDs which were in the backlight assembly prior to that point. The LEDs now used are more toward the blue end of the spectrum, whereas the LEDs used for the March-November 2011 period were toward the red end of the spectrum. There may be a difference in light output, but still in the specified range from our datasheet.
Reason:	Component end of life.
Impact:	Low. The specifications for the LEDs used in the backlight still meet the specifications stated in our datasheets.
Availability:	Current stock.

Summary:	Glass characteristics change requiring single command initialization change for optimal contrast.
Description:	PCN for CFAF320240F family of products due to a change in panel vendors.
Reason:	In order to maintain uninterrupted supply of this module, we changed vendors for the LCD panel so that lead times would not be affected.
Impact:	Because of the slightly different characteristics of the panel, a single command in the initialization of the module should be changed so that optimal contrast can be achieved. No other changes are necessary.
Recommendation:	Change the following registers from: write_command(0x001E); // Power Control 5 write_data(0x00B7); // Page 53 of SSD2119 datasheet to write_command(0x001E); // Power Control 5 write_data(0x00BE); // Page 53 of SSD2119 datasheet and contrast should be optimal for the display.
Availability:	Immediately for non-touchscreen modules, with a cut-in for the modules with a touchscreen over the next several months.
Price Change:	Pricing is not affected by this change.
