The CFA-RS232 Level Translator is a small printed circuit assembly that can be mounted on a compatible Crystalfontz Intelligent LCD Module. Less than one inch high and a little over one inch wide, the CFA-RS232 is an easy way to change to "full swing" RS232 serial interface on compatible modules that have "logic level", inverted serial interface.

The H1 and H2 headers on the CFARS232 board have been changed by the manufacturer. They still properly connect with old version of the mating headers.
Reason:
Hirose has changed the family of headers that are used at H1 and H2 to address a packing change they made.

Description:
We have modified this board to remove an undocumented jumper (JP20) and changed the default jumpers from being closed with a solder blob to being closed with a small copper trace.
Reason:
As part of our continuous improvement, the design of this product has been updated for ease of manufacturing
Impact:
Revision change from 1.0 to 1.1
Recommendation:
This revision should be a drop-in replacement. Please contact support if there are any questions. In-system testing is encouraged, as with any product update.
Availability:
The new revision (Rev 1.1) will begin shipping as soon as the previous revision is depleted.
