ePaper Adapter Board

Part Number: CFA10084

While the Crystalfontz ePaper adapter board is great for initial prototype and evaluation, it can also be used in production. We have designed it for ease-of-use, low-cost, and to have a very thin assembled thickness of less than 5mm, including the e-Paper module. The board and module can be ordered as a single unit, assembled and tested.

The Crystalfontz ePaper adapter board is open source hardware. The full schematic is available in the files section, so you can move the functionality onto your PCB for an even lower production cost.

This ePaper adapter board is compatible with our entire line of ePaper display modules. You can purchase them separately here or in a kit that includes the display with the adapter and an optional Seeeduino/Arduino compatible microcontroller, for a quick prototype or demonstration.

Product Update #11053: When this part is purchased without an ePaper display it must be configured by the user to operate correctly with an ePaper display.
    Product Affected: CFA10084
    Date Issued: October 30, 2019
Summary: When this part is purchased without an ePaper display it must be configured by the user to operate correctly with an ePaper display.
Reason: The CFA10084 has a jumper marked .047 that must be closed for some displays and open for others. If the schematic on the display web page referenced 3.0 ohms in the title block, this jumper must be left open. The jumper must be closed for all other ePaper displays.
Impact: If the jumper is not configured correctly, the "busy" line will go low and stay low preventing the display from initializing properly.
Recommendation: For more information refer to our blog post regarding the jumper
