Part Change Notice #11169: Neotec Controller Change
The display controllers used on these displays are being EOL'd and replaced with new controllers. At this time, there is limited information on the replacement display controllers but last time buys are being accepted.
The Sunplus controller used on the current parts is being replaced with a compatible controller. The PCB will be revised as part of this change.
Reason:
The Sunplus controller has been discontinued by the manufacturer.
Impact:
The revision letter of the PCB will change. The function and programming of the revised part will be identical to the current parts. No changes are required by the end user.
Availability:
The new parts will be available when current stock is depleted.

Description:
Specification change for backlight lifetime.
Reason:
We have had some reports of reduced lifetime of the white LED backlight of the CFAG12864B series.
Impact:
Until the root cause of the reduced lifetime is determined and corrected, we are reducing the recommended maximum backlight current from 60mA to 45mA, and decreasing the expected lifetime from 10K hours to 5K hours for all modules with white LED backlights in this series. We are actively pursuing a revised backlight design that will ensure better lifetime. We will issue an updated Parts Change Notification when the new modules are shipping. At that time, the backlight lifetime specifications in this Data Sheet will be updated to reflect the new design.
